Propiteer Ltd turned to 10-year structural warranty specialist, London Belgravia Brokers, to facilitate the sharpest premium for their £27 million residential development in Essex.
Brizes Park is Propiteer’s residential jewel in the crown- A Grade II listed brick-built house originating in 1720 set at the end of a long drive in an estate of approximately 74 acres between Brentwood and Ongar previously used as a private school.
The proposals are to convert the main house into ten luxury apartments whilst respecting the original design intent. The stables and classroom building are converted into smaller homes with either private gardens or courtyards and thirteen additional new build houses. The barn, to the northeast of the site, is to be converted into a substantial detached dwelling complete with private woodland.
Steeped in history, this Georgian mansion is also the former weekend retreat of Sir Winston Churchill and includes the site of one of the country’s oldest recorded moated forts.
Full planning approval is now confirmed, and on completion, Brizes Park will arguably become one of the most exclusive, sought after places to live in Essex.
LBB was appointed to put the structural defects insurance in place by sourcing a 10-year warranty certification to protect against any future structural issues. When the project completes, the 10-year structural warranty will be passed on to the new individual owners of the dwellings.
