London Belgravia Group helps bring forward 25-unit new-build project

LDI and warranty specialist consultancy London Belgravia Group has supported a new-build development in Cononley, Keighley, by streamlining the warranty process—and saving the developer money in the process.

Calvert Homes, the developer behind the 25-unit build-to-sell project comprising a mix of detached, semi-detached, and terraced housing, began discussions about warranty options with London Belgravia Group Consultant Jack Spear (pictured above) in late 2023.

Although Calvert Homes had a relationship with existing warranty providers, Jack set about conducting a full market tender to explore the best solution for this particular site.

The client wanted to partner with an insurer that was easy to work with and which represented added value.

Jack identified ICW as fitting the bill, especially considering its combined building control feature which contributed significantly to streamlining the warranty process.

Not only that, but as ICW’s combined proposition allows a proportion of VAT to be reclaimed, it amounted to a very welcome cost saving for the developer compared to their existing provider.

The total build cost insured was £3.5m.
