About The Project:

With an impressive portfolio of first-class properties, Campbell Buchanan George is synonymous with exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail; qualities epitomised in its Fairfield Meadows development.

Nestled between Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, Fairfield Meadows presents a select development of 122 highly desirable 2, 3, and 4-bedroom homes. The development combines an idyllic rural lifestyle with optimal commuter access, conveniently positioned near Stotfold, and a short distance from Letchworth and Hitchin.

For this development, Campbell Buchanan George chose LBB to act as independent brokers for the project’s structural warranties and to help streamline all requirements during the build and certification.

Understanding The Challenges Developers Face:

Darren Wright, Production Director at Campbell Buchanan George, emphasises the time-sensitive nature of the development process: “The main challenge we have is time, so it’s ensuring that from inspection to the homeowner moving in is as efficient and quick as possible.

Ellie Farrell, Principal Consultant at LBB, adds: “For a client like Campbell Buchanan George, they are building high-quality homes and have a great reputation with their customers, so we needed to provide a warranty that was in line with that.

Tailoring Warranty Solutions For High-Quality Homes:

Based on a deep understanding of the project’s specific needs, LBB leveraged its strong relationships with insurers to meet Campbell Buchanan George’s requirements.

Ellie explains LBB’s approach: “We wanted to provide them with an A-rated warranty provider and a strong underwriter that would be there for the lifetime of the policy. We were able to get three or four different quotes because of the insurers and their various appetites. We sat down with the team, reviewed each provider’s pros and cons, and nailed down what was best suited for this site.

Ellie continues, “As part of the Major Projects team, it’s essential to have that relationship with the client so that we fully understand what they are looking for and can deliver on that. A key element to consider on this site is its size and different phases, where staggered sign-offs could potentially cause an issue for the client.

For us, it’s about understanding our client’s requirements and what they need from a warranty provider. It might not always be the cheapest option, but it will always be the best one for their needs.”

LBB’s Multi-Disciplinary Relationships And Efficient Sign-Off Process Ensures Smooth Project Completion

By fostering strong relationships and offering exceptional customer service throughout the build and at completion, LBB helped Campbell Buchanan George overcome time-sensitive challenges to ensure a smooth handover so that new homeowners could move in promptly and confidently.

Emma Gater, Senior Technical Manager at Campbell Buchanan George, attests to LBB’s effectiveness: “London Belgravia is really helpful at speeding the process through. They have a good working relationship with us, the surveyors, and everyone involved in the process, getting the certificates across the line quicker and making the whole process easier.”

Darren Wright adds, “When you’re trying to deliver quality homes, you need all the stakeholders to buy into what we’re doing, and fundamentally, LBB does. They help us and facilitate what we need when we need it—which is vital because time is very important to a developer. London Belgravia has given us that by having that close relationship. They have been great at removing obstacles that happen on building sites and helping the customer move in, so it’s quicker and more efficient.
