LBB off to a strong start in 2026 with two senior appointments

We are proud to announce the appointments of Timothy Woodgate as Head of Strategic Partnerships and Craig Daniel as Principal Consultant, following a landmark period of growth for the business.

The appointments come after a record-breaking November, during which LBB successfully placed 2,187 residential units, representing over £1 billion in GDV and equating to £757 million in sum insured. This milestone performance has reinforced our commitment to further investing in senior expertise, technical capability, and long-term client support as it scales into 2026.

Timothy Woodgate appointed Head of Strategic Partnerships

Timothy Woodgate joins LBB with over 25 years’ experience across the finance and insurance sectors, bringing extensive expertise in complex risk management, high-value placements, and strategic stakeholder relationships. His career has spanned senior roles across major international markets in Europe and Asia, before focusing his knowledge on the UK construction and residential development sector.

Most recently, Tim has been a prominent figure in the latent defects and structural warranty space, having operated on both the insurer and broker sides. He has advised volume housebuilders and housing associations on high-value risk placement, helping clients navigate increasingly stringent funding, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

In his new role, Tim will lead the development of LBB’s strategic partnerships, supporting a shift toward early-stage, collaborative engagement with developers.

Commenting on his appointment, Tim said:

“LBB is the most exciting firm in the independent brokerage space. Their reputation for independence and client-first advice aligns perfectly with how I believe the market should operate—clear, expert guidance without bias toward specific warranty providers.

“I’m particularly looking forward to leveraging LBB’s immense experience, technical resources, and ongoing investment to help clients navigate an increasingly complex regulatory landscape and to develop our offering across complementary products.”

Craig Daniel joins as Principal Consultant

Craig Daniel brings nearly 15 years’ experience in financial services, spanning retail banking, pensions and investments, development finance, mortgages, and latent defects insurance.

He joins LBB following a successful period advising developers across Scotland and the North East of England, where he built strong relationships and secured tailored warranty solutions for projects ranging from small residential schemes to multi-storey luxury developments with construction values of up to £55 million.

Craig’s appointment further strengthens LBB’s consulting capability and regional reach, supporting developers with technically sound, commercially aligned warranty advice at every stage of the project lifecycle.

Commenting on his move to LBB, Craig said:

“LBB is the perfect launchpad for growth. The exciting developments the business will be bringing forward in 2026 will massively benefit clients across multiple sectors.

“LBB is a forward-thinking organisation, and I’m excited to expand my network while bringing a new way of working to developers across the country.”

Following our impressive trading performance at the close of 2025, we continue to invest in senior hires that reinforce its independent, advisory-led model. The latest appointments ensure clients benefit from deeper technical expertise, greater strategic engagement, and early-stage guidance in an increasingly complex construction and regulatory landscape.
