LBB London Belgravia was proud to support a distinguished private client, the 8th Earl of Leicester, on the latest phase of development within the Holkham Estate in Kings Lynn. The project comprises 12 new-build homes—a mix of detached and semi-detached properties—designed to sensitively extend the estate’s residential offering while maintaining its architectural heritage and rural character.
With a build cost of £3.5 million, this scheme reflects the Estate’s ongoing commitment to high-quality, sustainable development rooted in its historic legacy.
As an existing client, the Holkham Estate returned to LBB for expert guidance on securing structural warranty cover for this phase. The team, led by Consultant Jack Spear, provided a full market comparison, assessing all viable options and offering transparent advice to ensure the most suitable and cost-effective cover was achieved.
In line with the Estate’s requirements—including a 12-year social housing warranty for two of the units—ICW was selected as the preferred provider. The decision was supported by ICW’s combined building control and warranty solution, offering seamless coordination and enhanced efficiency across the project.
LBB secured a 1% premium, which sits at the lower end of the market for a 12-year policy—an excellent outcome for a development of this nature and heritage sensitivity.

His consultative approach ensured that the Estate received not only the best terms, but also clear, trustworthy advice throughout.
